Discovering Type

 When I was snooping around the internet for Type related images, I found it very interesting how many of them were actually 3-dimensional objects. Lots of 3D letters, and lots of type on 3D objects. Something I found kind of humorous was needlepoint with really sarcastic phrases. It was interesting to me to choose something as old-fashioned and cutesy as needlepoint in a frame or on a pillow, and then to add like a rap lyric of something as the text.

I also have always loved Shigeo Fukuda and here is a link to the website that has some cool use of type:

I have never really looked at designs or ads for the typography aspect, but when I went back through some saved artwork that I like, I noticed Shigeo Fukuda actually works with letters a little. He uses the letter F extensively. You can see this on the website, and I have added a few images of some examples below.
